Andrew is Director of Patent Prosecution and is responsible for preparing and prosecuting U.S. and foreign patent applications. As a registered Patent Attorney, Andrew specializes in preparing and prosecuting patent applications, especially in the art areas of business-method based systems, software applications, electromechanical devices, semiconductors and communications. Andrew has significant patent litigation experience including claim construction analysis, briefing, invalidity searching and discovery.
Prior to joining Technology, Patents & Licensing, Andrew was an attorney at the firm of Akin, Gump, Strauss, Hauer & Feld, LLP and a law clerk at Synnestvedt & Lechner, LLP.
Andrew is a member of the Pennsylvania and New Jersey state bars and is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for New Jersey and the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
Andrew holds a J.D. from the James E. Beasley School of Law of Temple University, where he was awarded the Law Faculty Scholarship. Andrew also did his graduate and undergraduate work at Temple University, where he received a B.S.E. in Electrical Engineering, graduating Summa Cum Laude. At Temple, Andrew was a Presidential Scholar, was awarded the William Mensch, Jr. Fellowship and was a recipient of the Outstanding Achievement Scholarship.
Andrew is conversant in German and holds the Zertifikat Deutsch fŸr den Beruf, Business German Language Certificate.
