The deliverables are created by inspection of product literature, testing, teardowns, and combinations thereof. Whether for an internally owned portfolio or for acquisition of assets, our mining methodology is time tested and effective. Patents can be rated using our standard system or your preferred process.

Our standard claim charts include both disclosure and file history support to withstand the most rigorous scrutiny. TPL will work with your litigation team to address technical and claim construction issues, prior art, and rebuttals. We will defend our clients via non-infringement charts and patent, literature, or product prior art.

Are the patents being offered for sale any good?

In a typical year, TPL reviews approximately 70 portfolios offered for sale by brokers to our clients. We will evaluate the marketing materials and claim charts, if available, to give you a realistic look into the value of the assets. Once the impact of the claim is well understood, TPL will perform the market and financial research to validate a buy or disregard recommendation.
