Mike is a registered Patent Agent and has more than than 25 years of experience as systems and hardware engineer in digital video processing, embedded systems, digital communications and chip design. Before joining Technology, Patents & Licensing, Mike held senior technical positions at Expanse Networks, Hitachi America and PA Consulting Services. He has also held research staff positions at RCA Laboratories and Bell Labs.

Mike received a B.S. from Drexel University and an M.S. from Stanford University, both in Electrical Engineering. He has co-authored two published technical papers and over 20 issued U.S. patents and several patents pending in a broad range of technologies, including digital VCRs, printing, videodisk players, and spread-spectrum communications. He is also an advisory board member of the American Society of Inventors, the oldest inventors group in the United States.
