Yang is an intellectual property researcher with experience and expertise in Internet applications and computer networks. As a part of the TPL team, Yang is currently involved in patent mining and analysis. Prior to joining TPL, Yang was a software developer at Message Systems Inc, where he helped developing world-leading email solutions.
Yang received a B.E. degree in Information and Network Science from Chiba Institute of Technology (Japan) in 2003. He received an M.S. degree in Computer Science from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County in 2006.
Yang is an inventor on seven pending patents and has published several research papers related to semantic web technologies and Bayesian methods.
Yang is fluent in Mandarin and Japanese.
